WHAT CONNECTIONS IN THE GARDEN DOES ONE REQUIRE BEFORE OWNING THE HOT TUB?

A large hot tub can fit up to 4000 liters of water, therefore, it is important to think about draining that amount of water in advance. There are a few options to choose from regarding drainage.

The first one and most basic is the standard drain. This option is suitable for fully wooden, polypropylene and fiberglass baths and is usually included in the standard configuration. It is 43mm in diameter. Most usually it is connected to a hose or a PVC pipe under the hot tub.

The second option is an external tap – a metal connector with a valve. It is 1 inch (25mm) in diameter. Most usually it is connected to a hose. This is most often available as a configuration option on most hot tubs. In hot tubs with integrated heaters, it is automatically included.

Connections

An important thing to note is, when purchasing a hot tub with an electric heater, we install a corresponding fuse box that houses not only the components necessary for powering the electric heater but additional sockets for all other electric appliances. This means that you will only need to connect the fuse box to your households’ electrical system, and everything will work off that. No additional sockets will be required.

Without an electric heater, all the appliances need to be connected to a regular socket. That being said, an extension cord with multiple sockets can be used and easily fit all the power plugs.
