Product Description
A large square hot tub tailored to your project
TimberIN Nordic Square™ is a family of square hot tubs intended for larger groups. Its square shape, rounded internal corners and continuous bench distinguish it from round models. Choose one of four sizes, then select the heating, benches, cladding, cover and SPA functions.
Capacity depends on the size: 1,600 mm for 4–6 people, 1,800 mm for 6–8, 2,000 mm for 8–10 and 2,200 mm for 10–12 or more. Across the range, the manufacturer documents 2,000–4,000 litres and an empty weight of 200–300 kg; confirm the water volume and weight of the chosen size in your order documents.
Four internal and external sizes
| Selected size | People | Internal dimensions | Documented external dimensions | Documented external height* |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1600 × 1600 | 4–6 | 1,600 × 1,600 mm | 1,900 × 1,900 mm | 1,046 mm |
| 1800 × 1800 | 6–8 | 1,800 × 1,800 mm | 2,100 × 2,100 mm | 1,046 mm |
| 2000 × 2000 | 8–10 | 2,000 × 2,000 mm | 2,300 × 2,300 mm | 1,046 mm |
| 2200 × 2200 | 10–12+ | 2,200 × 2,200 mm | 2,500 × 2,500 mm | 1,046 mm |
* Selected floor insulation adds 80 mm to the height. The documented internal height is 1,030 mm; the bench is 350 mm deep and 330 mm high.
Use these dimensions for initial planning. The tubs are handmade, so any critical interface or access measurement must be agreed before ordering and confirmed on the final drawing.
Eight heating choices for every size
The current UK configurator pairs each size with these choices:
- 6 kW electric heating.
- External wood stove with electric heating.
- Internal wood stove with electric heating.
- External AISI 316 wood-fired stove.
- Internal AISI 316 snorkel stove.
- Internal wood stove with a heat pump.
- External wood stove with a heat pump.
- Electric heater with a heat pump.
The external BFTS-75 stove is documented at 28 kW. It stands separately beside the tub and needs its own space. The internal stove occupies part of one side of the bathing area. Its selector specifies AISI 316 stainless steel, but its output must be confirmed for the order.
The documented electric heater is 6 kW, with a thermostat adjustable from 0 to 45°C. The sheet lists 220 V single-phase at 32 A or 380 V three-phase at 16 A. These figures do not replace a site-specific electrical design: a qualified electrician must specify the cable, protection and final connection for the ordered equipment.
Hybrid choices combine a wood stove with electricity, or a heat pump with an internal stove, external stove or electric heater. A heat pump alone is not a current selector option. Use the UK configuration price for the chosen combination, and confirm every component’s output and supply in the quotation. No universal heating time is documented.
Benches, cladding, top edge and cover
Open or closed polypropylene benches are available. UK exterior choices are Siberian spruce, thermowood, Siberian larch or oak. A sunken-model option removes the timber decoration and steps for a planned deck integration; confirm the treatment of any technical enclosure in the final specification.
Choose a wooden or polypropylene top edge. A wooden lid and an insulated leather cover are listed. The wooden cover follows the external dimensions, from 1,900 to 2,500 mm; each documented cover element weighs 30 kg, with 30 mm insulation where selected. Confirm the leather cover’s exact specification for the ordered size.
Wall insulation and floor insulation are separate paid UK options. The exact source does not state their material or thickness. It does establish the dimensional effect of floor insulation: 80 mm extra overall height.
Filtration, massage, lighting and controls
Choose air-bubble massage, water-jet hydromassage, sand filtration with a large wooden enclosure, two or four LEDs, and Wi-Fi controls for the corresponding selected systems. The five current shell colours are white RAL 9010, black RAL 9005, blue RAL 5012, light grey RAL 7032 and dark grey RAL 7011.
These choices are not all automatic standard equipment. The “Already included” group contains both options without a displayed surcharge and paid upgrades. Confirm the large A+ steps, cover, top edge and every expected accessory in the final summary. Filter media and flow, pump specifications, jet or air-outlet counts, LED modes and smart-home compatibility must be confirmed for the equipment selected.
Prepare the foundation, drainage and delivery
The support must carry the tub, its water, users and equipment. Across this range, 2,000–4,000 litres of water alone represents approximately 2–4 tonnes, before adding the 200–300 kg empty tub, bathers and accessories. There is no universal slab specification or exact load stated for each size; the responsible professional must design the support for the final installation.
Add steps, cover opening, heater, flue, technical enclosures, drainage and maintenance access to the external footprint of 1.9–2.5 m per side. The documented A+ steps measure 1,200 × 710 mm on the ground, stand 600 mm high and weigh 30 kg; the first step is at 290 mm.
Without floor insulation, the drain tap is in the wall; with floor insulation, it is in the base. The sheet notes that a small amount of water can remain at the bottom. UK choices are an external tap or a tap with a quick connector for a 12.5 or 15 mm hose.
The documented main-package range is H 2,000–2,600 × W 1,200 × L 2,000–2,600 mm, weighing 200–300 kg. A separate heater or equipment package may measure 1,300 × 1,300 × 1,300 mm and weigh approximately 50 kg. UK shipping lists an 18 m / 40-tonne lorry, a £198 green zone south of Leeds and a £429 yellow zone. Confirm the delivery address, vehicle access, unloading arrangements and movement to the final base before ordering. The UK selector has no separate driver-unloading option; do not assume delivery includes final positioning.
Why choose Nordic Square™?
Nordic Square™ combines a large capacity range, a square footprint, four sizes and several heating strategies. It lets you choose filtration, massage and lighting individually.
Nordic Core™ is round, rated across its range for 4–8 people, and centres on integrated wood-fired or hybrid heating. Nordic Rojal™ is also round and wood-fired, with its main SPA features included in the current UK package. Square™ suits a larger group that wants to choose the footprint, heating layout and equipment level. The final quotation and summary define the tub ordered.
Frequently asked questions about TimberIN Nordic Square™
These answers cover the configurations currently documented. The final drawing, configuration summary and order documents take precedence for the product purchased.
What are the four Nordic Square™ sizes?
Internal dimensions are 1,600, 1,800, 2,000 or 2,200 mm square. The corresponding documented external dimensions are 1,900, 2,100, 2,300 or 2,500 mm square. Handmade dimensions are approximate; validate critical interfaces on the final drawing.
How many people and how much water does it hold?
It depends on the size: 1,600 mm seats 4–6 people, 1,800 mm 6–8, 2,000 mm 8–10 and 2,200 mm 10–12 or more. Water volume is 2,000–4,000 litres across the range; request the exact figure for your chosen size, particularly for foundation design.
What are the eight current heating choices?
Choose electric heating, an internal or external wood stove, either wood stove combined with an electric heater, or a heat pump combined with the internal stove, external stove or electric heater. The current matrix has no no-heater or heat-pump-only configuration. UK prices are shown for the selected combination.
How do the internal and external wood stoves differ?
The external BFTS-75 stands beside the tub and is documented at 28 kW. The internal stove takes up part of the bathing area and its selector specifies AISI 316 stainless steel. Confirm the internal stove’s output in the final order.
What electrical connection is required?
The documented electric heater is 6 kW with a 0–45°C thermostat. The sheet lists 220 V single-phase at 32 A or 380 V three-phase at 16 A. A qualified electrician must verify the ordered unit and specify the installation. Confirm the electrical requirements of hybrid components and heat pumps separately.
Which equipment is included automatically?
No accessory choice is automatically selected. The group labelled “Already included” contains both no-surcharge choices and paid upgrades. Only the quotation and final summary establish the equipment supplied.
Which benches, finishes and covers can I choose?
Choose open or closed polypropylene benches, Siberian spruce, thermowood, Siberian larch or oak cladding, or the sunken option without timber decoration and steps. Top edges can be wooden or polypropylene. Wooden and insulated leather covers are listed; confirm the exact cover specification for your order.
Are filtration, massage and LEDs available?
Yes, as separate choices: sand filtration with a large wooden enclosure, hydromassage, air bubbles and two or four LEDs. Wi-Fi kits are offered for the corresponding systems. Confirm filter media and flow, jets, pumps, lighting modes and smart-home compatibility for the equipment ordered.
What does floor insulation change?
It is a separate paid option from wall insulation. The documented floor-insulation arrangement adds 80 mm to the total height and moves the drain from the wall to the base. Its material and thickness are not stated in the exact product documentation.
What space and support are required?
Allow a footprint of 1.9–2.5 m per side plus steps, heater, flue, enclosures, cover handling, drainage and access. Range-wide water weight is approximately 2–4 tonnes, before the empty tub, bathers and equipment. Have a professional design the support for your precise model and site.
What delivery constraints should I plan for?
The main package is approximately H 2,000–2,600 × W 1,200 × L 2,000–2,600 mm and 200–300 kg. A side package may be 1,300 mm square and approximately 50 kg. Confirm vehicle access, unloading and transfer to the final base; the UK page has no separate driver-unloading option.
How long does heating take?
No fixed time is documented. Size, water volume, starting temperature, heater, fuel, insulation, cover and weather all affect the result.

Hi, we have finally moved into our house & hot tub is amazing! Attached photo (feel free to use!)
Good morning Albert
Attached are two photo’s of the Hot Tub in its final position. It is now fully operational and getting used at the weekends by me and the neighbors. Everybody very happy and I am pretty sure that I can assure that it is the mostly westerly hot tub in Europe.
