Product Description
A traditional spruce vessel with a broad size range · Made-to-order outdoor hot tub
Wooden Hot Tub Basic – TimberIN Nordic™ (Affordable Wood Fired Model): the essential wooden hot tub, configured from first principles
Simple materials make the important decisions more visible
Spruce staves form both the structure and the water-side surface, creating the character many buyers associate with a traditional Nordic tub. Natural timber responds to moisture and should be commissioned, cleaned and maintained according to the supplied instructions rather than treated like plastic. The four diameters allow the vessel to serve different group sizes. Internal and snorkel heaters keep the installation compact at the cost of some bathing room; an external stove preserves the interior but needs its own base and circulation route. The unheated version is a complete choice for cold use or an approved separate system.
The full all-timber Basic comparison
Wooden Basic is the straightforward traditional range: water-side timber, circular benches and a choice of four diameters. Its technical sheet quantifies the cost of upsizing. The 2,200 mm model holds about 1,300 litres more water and weighs roughly 100 kg more dry than the 1,600 mm version. External heat provides a complete 360-degree bench; an internal heater reduces it to 270 degrees. That seat-circle difference is as important as the nominal bather count.
| 1,600 mm | 4–6 bathers; approximately 1,400 L; 1,680 mm outside; approximately 200 kg |
|---|---|
| 1,800 mm | 6–8 bathers; approximately 1,800 L; 1,880 mm outside; approximately 250 kg |
| 2,000 mm | 8–10 bathers; approximately 2,300 L; 2,080 mm outside; approximately 280 kg |
| 2,200 mm | 10–14 bathers; approximately 2,700 L; 2,280 mm outside; approximately 300 kg |
| External height | Approximately 1,020 mm all sizes |
| Bench circle | 360° with external/electric heat; 270° with internal heater |
| Delivery choice | Pre-assembled or non-assembled/flat-packed |
| Drain | 400–920 mm PVC drain; optional 1 inch external tap |
Decide how much natural timber and how much group capacity you truly want
The 1,600 mm tub keeps the traditional experience efficient for a small household. The 1,800 mm model is the usual social compromise. The 2,000 and 2,200 mm versions deserve their water and fuel demand only when large groups are routine. An external stove keeps all seating and adds garden footprint; an internal/snorkel stove saves outside space and occupies a quarter of the bench circle. The no-heater version suits a separately engineered system or cold plunge. Natural staves require a more attentive filling, drying and water-care routine than a moulded liner.
| Decision | Choices currently selectable |

The smallest and largest Basic models cannot heat on the same schedule
The general 2–3 hour warm-season and 4–6 hour cold-season guidance must be adjusted for 1,400 versus 2,700 litres. The largest model carries almost double the water of the smallest. Heater position, dry fuel, cover and wind then change the result again. If shorter preparation matters, buy for normal occupancy rather than headline capacity. Keep natural timber and heater operating instructions together, and never drain until the wood stove is fully cool.
Respect the wooden vessel as well as the fire
Provide even support beneath the whole tub and prevent water from standing around the lower staves. Follow the commissioning guidance as the timber settles into normal wet service, and use only compatible water-treatment and cleaning products. Confirm whether the tub will remain filled, be used seasonally or operate as a cold plunge, because neglect and freezing water can damage both shell and equipment. For heated versions, plan guarding, firebox approach and chimney clearances, with correct connections and service access for the chosen stove position.

Hi Albert, I’m going to give you more than one photo so that you can choose the one you want. Here is the text:
Thank you, Albert!
Timberin make a wonderful hot tub! I chose the Thermawood 1800mm model and it is just what I wanted, at a really good price. We happily get 6 adults in and could get more. It looks beautiful with lovely curved steps going up to it. My guests and friends just love it, and it has been in use almost continuously since the guys delivered it and I had a chance to fill and heat it. The heating is straightforward, and I can use up all sorts of waste wood on it which I can’t use in the log burners (wood with nails, softwood logs etc). I can really recommend Timberin.
