Product Description
Compact wood heat with the stove inside the tub · Made-to-order outdoor hot tub
TimberIN Nordic Compact™ Snorkel: a smaller-group model built around snorkel heating
A self-contained outline for intimate bathing
Keeping the heater in the water creates a compact installation and avoids exposed connecting pipework between tub and stove. It is a practical arrangement for a sheltered terrace or smaller garden, provided the loss of some internal room is accepted. The protective guard and chimney become visible parts of the bathing environment and must remain safely positioned. A hybrid configuration adds electrical support to the wood fire, which may suit frequent users, but it requires correctly specified controls and supply rather than a casual outdoor socket.
A true 3–4-person shell with a known 1,200-litre load
Nordic Compact Snorkel has a more tightly defined brief than the larger Wellness Basic product. Its technical sheet sets out 1,550 mm internal diameter, 1,200 litres and 3–4 bathers. The 1,770 mm external diameter remains manageable for many gardens, but the 960 mm water-side height and 150 kg dry shell still demand proper access and a filled-load foundation. Capacity should be judged after allowing for the snorkel heater and guard.

The choice is simple: pure snorkel heat or hybrid support
Choose the AISI 316 snorkel-only build when compact wood-fired use and minimal external equipment are the point of the model. Choose hybrid when regular schedules, holding temperature or frost management justify an electrical circuit as well as the fire. Hybrid adds convenience but not simplicity. Spruce keeps the exterior light and traditional; Thermowood darkens and stabilises the look; larch and oak add density and cost. None of those timbers changes the 1,200-litre water-side specification.

A lower-volume wood-fired routine
At about 1,200 litres, Nordic Compact has less thermal mass than most family tubs, but its sheet still gives no guaranteed number of hours. TimberIN’s general manual describes about 8°C per hour for a 2,000-litre example and a broad 2–3 hours in warm or 4–6 hours in cold conditions. Use dry fuel, keep the cover on, maintain the heater’s required water level and never drain while metalwork is hot. The hybrid option can support holding, but its real rate depends on the selected electric output.
Measure comfort after allowing for the heater
Consider the body sizes and number of people who will use the tub most often, then view the selected diameter as a complete interior that includes the heater and guard. Position the firebox for safe loading from outside and keep the chimney away from roofs, branches and guest circulation. Confirm access for delivery, the filled base load, a controlled drainage route and space to remove ash or service equipment. If hybrid heating is selected, coordinate the electrical work with the final control specification before the tub arrives.
Before production: TimberIN products are individually made, so published measurements are approximate. Confirm the selected live variation, final dimensions, included equipment, service requirements, delivery method and any critical tolerances in the accepted written quotation.
