2-person wood tub

TimberIN Nordic Duo™ Wood

From: 1,959

TimberIN Nordic Duo™ Wood. This compact two-person wooden tub can be ordered without a heater for cold immersion or with an external wood-fired stove for traditional hot soaking. Spruce and Thermowood provide distinct colour, weathering and care characteristics, while the small water volume is easier to place and manage than a family tub. Because the bathing vessel itself is timber, commissioning, water care and wet-and-dry routines should follow the supplied wooden-tub guidance. This all-timber two-person Ofuro holds about 1,000 litres, weighs roughly 80–100 kg dry and occupies about 1,900 × 1,190 mm before its external stove. Spruce or Thermowood and external AISI 316 wood heat or a no-heater build are live. Stairs, benches and paddle are included; wooden/leather covers, air massage, filtration, two LEDs, chimney protection, drainage and assembled/flat-pack delivery can be chosen.

Product Description

Natural timber for two people · Made-to-order outdoor hot tub

TimberIN Nordic Duo™ Wood: a compact wooden tub for hot soaking or cold immersion

The bathing material is part of the experience

Unlike a timber-clad tub with a moulded liner, this model places bathers directly within the wooden vessel. The staves form the watertight structure, giving the water a visibly natural setting and making material behaviour central to ownership. A no-heater build works as a compact plunge or as the basis of a separately designed system. With the external stove, the interior remains free for two people while the firebox, chimney and connecting pipework sit beside the tub. Spruce offers a classic pale appearance; Thermowood changes tone and weathering character.

An all-wooden Ofuro for one or two people

Nordic Duo Wood shares the efficient oval logic of the lined Duo but keeps timber in direct contact with the bathing water. The drawing records a 1–2-person, approximately 1,000-litre vessel with an 80–100 kg dry weight and a footprint close to 1,900 × 1,190 mm. That natural construction brings the tactile character buyers seek, together with the responsibility to keep staves correctly hydrated, clean and maintained according to the supplied timber guidance.

Spruce, Thermowood and the reason a no-heater option exists

Spruce gives the palest, most traditional expression and the lowest material threshold; Thermowood is darker and more dimensionally stable but still needs exterior care. The external stove is the complete wood-fired choice and keeps both seats clear, at the expense of extra garden footprint and connecting pipework. The no-heater option is appropriate only for a separately specified heat source or a cold-plunge project. It should never be treated as an almost-finished hot tub that can be improvised after delivery.

Protect the natural-timber experience rather than over-equipping it

A well-fitted insulated cover protects the main advantage of a 1,000-litre tub: a modest thermal load. The wooden lid preserves an all-timber appearance but is heavier and generally less insulating. Air massage can add movement without the more complex water-jet system; filtration helps retain water but must be compatible with the timber and approved water-care method. The two-LED option is proportionate to the oval. A chimney fence and ash tools are sensible where the firebox sits near a path or terrace.

What the current configurator identifies as included

Already included: (1) “B” type wooden stairs; (2) Wooden benches; (3) Wooden paddle

Included equipment is valuable because it establishes a usable baseline. Displayed builds may contain additional systems, so the accepted quotation should repeat every included item.

Type of the lid

  • Wooden lid
  • Insulated leather lid (recommended)

Advantages: A fitted cover reduces debris and heat loss; an insulated leather cover is normally lighter to handle and more thermally effective than a plain timber lid.

Metal parts

  • Metal fence on the chimney (burn protection)
  • Ash shovel and rake

Advantages: A chimney guard reduces accidental contact risk, a heater lid controls access around the firebox, and dedicated metal tools make ash handling and routine stove care more orderly.

SPA

  • Air bubble massage system
  • Sand filtration system with big wooden cover box
  • 2 LED

Advantages: Air massage gives a gentle whole-tub effect, hydromassage provides firmer targeted jets, filtration supports retained-water use and LEDs improve evening visibility and atmosphere.

Water release type

  • External water tap
  • External water tap + Quick adapter for garden hose set (12.5mm & 15mm)

Advantages: An external tap gives better control over discharge, while the quick hose adaptor helps route water away from foundations, neighbours and soft landscaping.

Small water volume helps, but wood and weather still decide the session

The linked sheet does not guarantee an exact heat-up. TimberIN’s broader manual describes 2–3 hours in warmer weather and 4–6 hours in cold weather for typical wood-fired use, with an illustrative 8°C-per-hour rate at 2,000 litres. Duo Wood holds about 1,000 litres, but timber condition, external-pipe losses, dry fuel, wind and cover use all matter. Keep the stove full of water through its upper connection before lighting and allow it to cool completely before draining.

Understand how a solid-wood tub settles into service

A wooden vessel may need the commissioning procedure described in its instructions before the staves reach their normal wet condition. Do not apply unapproved sealants or aggressive chemicals in an attempt to change that process. Provide a level, continuously supported base and keep the lower timber clear of trapped moisture and standing water. For a heated build, allow a short, approved circulation route to the external stove and safe access around the firebox. Plan draining and seasonal care so the tub is neither left to freeze nor repeatedly neglected while empty.

Before production: TimberIN products are individually made, so published measurements are approximate. Confirm the selected live variation, final dimensions, included equipment, service requirements, delivery method and any critical tolerances in the accepted written quotation. Photographs may show optional equipment.

Questions about TimberIN Nordic Duo™ Wood

What woodtype choices are shown for TimberIN Nordic Duo™ Wood?

Woodtype choices currently shown are Spruce; Thermo Wood. Availability and valid combinations are controlled by the live configurator and confirmed in the final written order.

Does the displayed price include every option for TimberIN Nordic Duo™ Wood?

Not necessarily. The displayed amount follows the current base or selected configuration. Size, material, heater, equipment, delivery and installation choices can change the total; the basket, quotation or written order is the final commercial record.

What should be confirmed before delivery of TimberIN Nordic Duo™ Wood?

Choose the normal occupancy and shell size first; nominal capacity is not a comfort guarantee for every body size. Select heater position and fuel after checking usable seating, firebox access, chimney route and any electrical supply. Confirm delivery access, a level load-bearing base, safe filling and drainage, and the intended winter operating routine. Final dimensions, included equipment and site responsibilities should be confirmed before production or dispatch.

Hi Albertas, Apologies for not getting photos back to you sooner, it’s the start of the season here and we have had visitors the last couple of weeks. We have had the hot tub up and running for about four weeks now and are very pleased, the heater works really well. We found assemble reasonably straightforward, I would say the hardest bit is the last board. I was pleased that the boards were already drilled for the fittings. I think if you provided a a short video of key points of the assembly it would be helpful. Kind regards, Andy
