TimberIN Nordic Hobbiton™ Glass

From: 7,531

TimberIN Nordic Hobbiton™ Glass. Nordic Hobbiton Glass is a 4000 mm garden sauna offered in 1950 and 2400 mm widths, with standard or full-glass frontage and spruce or Thermowood exterior choices. Its rounded architectural shell and ergonomic bench concept create a different room from a barrel or cube. Width and glazing alter both comfort and thermal demand, so choose the layout from regular occupancy, desired view, privacy and the heater capacity available at the site. Hobbiton Glass has four documented 4,000 mm two-room designs: 1,950 or 2,400 mm wide, each with a timber or full-glass/ergonomic front, all stated for 2–4 people and about 1,200 kg. Spruce or Thermowood, M3/M3 SL wood heat or 9 kW Cilindro electric heat are live. Dressing room, glass partition, round window and ventilation are included; roof, lights, heater fence and assembled/flat-pack delivery remain choices.

Product Description

A four-metre Hobbiton form with two widths · Made-to-order outdoor sauna

TimberIN Nordic Hobbiton™ Glass: rounded architecture, ergonomic benches and an optional glass front

A characterful shell with a genuinely consequential glazing choice

The Hobbiton profile uses a broad rounded roof and upright lower walls to create a distinctive exterior with useful internal shoulder room. At 4000 mm long, it can support a more developed sauna arrangement than the smallest pods. The 1950 mm width keeps the building relatively contained; 2400 mm opens the interior and changes foundation and delivery requirements. A full-glass front transforms light and outlook but also increases exposure and heat loss. Spruce and Thermowood then give the same architecture notably different colour and weathering character.

Four Hobbiton plans around one 4-metre length

Hobbiton Glass is a two-room oval/pod-style sauna rather than a single open hot room. The sheet fixes the length at 4,000 mm and offers a narrower 1,950 mm or broader 2,400 mm body, each with either the standard front or full-glass front and ergonomic benches. Nominal occupancy remains 2–4 people and dry weight about 1,200 kg. The wider body improves lateral room, while full glass changes heat loss and privacy more than capacity.

Width improves room comfort; glass changes the thermal brief

Choose 1,950 mm where access and footprint dominate, and 2,400 mm where broader benches and circulation justify the width. The standard front retains more privacy and a more timber-led envelope. The full-glass version provides the architectural view and ergonomic seating, with higher heat loss and cleaning. M3 gives inside-loaded wood heat; M3 SL keeps ash and logs outside the room; Cilindro 9 kW offers electric control. Since all are two-room designs, confirm the hot-room cubic volume—not the complete 4-metre envelope—against the heater.

A complete base layout with a small number of meaningful finishes

Dressing room, partition, round glazing and ventilation are already included, so the remaining selections refine safety and exterior character. A heater fence establishes a visible boundary but does not remove clearances. Entrance lamps improve approach lighting and require heat/weather-rated wiring. Roof colour is aesthetic. Factory assembly protects the complex curved body and glass alignment but needs lifting; flat pack can solve access and allows manual unloading, while making weatherproof, accurate on-site assembly the buyer’s responsibility.

What the current configurator identifies as included

Already included: (1) Benches as in the pictures; (2) Entrance door with glass; (3) ventilation; (4) Dressing room; (5) Glassdoor between rooms; (6) A round glass inside the sauna

Included equipment is valuable because it establishes a usable baseline. Displayed builds may contain additional systems, so the accepted quotation should repeat every included item.

Wood burning Harvia heaters

  • Recommended for 2 – 4 meter sauna room: Harvia M3 + chimney (already included)
  • Recommended for 2 – 4 meter sauna room: Harvia M3 SL + chimney (logs loaded from outside instead of inside)

Advantages: Harvia wood-burning heaters provide the traditional fire-and-stone sauna experience. M3 suits the smaller listed rooms, while 20 PRO serves the larger range; SL versions move log loading outside, keeping bark and ash out of the hot room.

Electric Harvia heaters

  • Recommended for 2 – 3 meter sauna room: Cilindro 9 kW (PC90) with an integrated control unit (already included)

Advantages: A Cilindro electric heater offers repeatable thermostat control, no indoor fuel storage and a straightforward start-up routine. The listed 9 or 11 kW choices allow output to follow the actual heated sauna-room volume.

Sauna accessories

  • 2 Harvia lamps above the entrance door (both sides)
  • Wooden fence (protection) in front of heater

Advantages: Heat-rated LED or Harvia lighting improves safe use after dark, a correctly matched water tank can provide warm water with a wood heater, and a timber heater fence creates a clear physical boundary around hot surfaces.

Roof color

  • Black tiles
  • Brown tiles
  • Green tiles

Advantages: Roof colour lets the sauna sit deliberately within the garden scheme without changing the room plan or bathing experience.

Only the sauna room is heated

A 4-metre outside length does not mean a 4-metre hot room because the dressing area is separate. Heater sizing and warm-up must use the actual sauna-room volume plus an allowance for the glass. The sheet recommends M3/M3 SL or 9 kW Cilindro but does not promise minutes. The full-glass version will lose more heat than the timber-front equivalent. Commission each design with its intended ventilation and record a realistic winter routine.

Choose width and glass together, then size the heater

Lay out the benches and regular users at both widths before deciding that wider is automatically better. Confirm how the full-glass option affects the required heater output for the room and local climate. Orient the façade towards a private, worthwhile view and check nighttime reflections and neighbouring sightlines. The 4000 mm shell needs a measured delivery route and a stable level base that drains around the perimeter. Finalise door, ventilation, electrical or flue route and maintenance access before adjacent decking or planting closes in.

Before production: TimberIN products are individually made, so published measurements are approximate. Confirm the selected live variation, final dimensions, included equipment, service requirements, delivery method and any critical tolerances in the accepted written quotation.
