Product Description
Family bathing with the fire kept outside · Made-to-order outdoor hot tub
Wood Fired Hot Tub with External Stove – TimberIN Nordic™ External Comfort: an external stove that preserves the full interior
More room in the water and a clearly separated heating zone
With no stove occupying the shell, the round interior remains open for communal seating and is easier to understand at a glance. The external heater can be approached for loading and ash removal without disturbing bathers, which is valuable for family and hospitality use. Water circulates between tub and stove through an approved lower and upper connection, so pipe geometry is central to performance. The hybrid option adds electric support for a different operating routine, while the selected cladding timber determines the exterior tone and maintenance character.
The two external-stove sizes in exact figures
External Comfort is designed around clear bathing space: the wood burner stands beside the tub rather than taking a seat or becoming part of the shell. The 1,800 mm version is a 4–6-person, 1,400-litre model; the 2,000 mm version increases that to 6–8 people and about 1,550 litres. Both are approximately 150 kg before separate heater, stairs and equipment packages, so the final footprint is larger than the circular shell alone.
| 1,800 model | 4–6 bathers; approximately 1,400 L; 1,800 mm inside; 2,000 mm outside; approximately 150 kg |
|---|---|
| 2,000 model | 6–8 bathers; approximately 1,550 L; approximately 2,042 mm inside; 2,240 mm outside; approximately 150 kg |
| Heater | External AISI 316 wood-fired stove |
| Hybrid option | External wood stove plus electric support |
| Chimney | Approximately 2,000 mm |
| Delivery reference 1800 | Tub approximately 2,200 × 1,300 × 2,100 mm packed; separate side package |
| Delivery reference 2000 | Larger selected drawing and access check required |
External-only simplicity or external wood plus electric support
The wood-only route is the cleanest operational concept: fire for each session, no high-power holding circuit and all seats available. Hybrid heat is better where the tub will be used frequently, where frost support is required or where a schedule matters, but it adds wiring, controls and another enclosure. The 1,800 mm shell is the efficient family choice; the 2,000 mm shell earns its extra volume only when six to eight people are normal. Timber selection should follow the desired maintenance and finish, not be confused with the smooth liner’s water-side care.

The external pipe run is part of heating performance
The technical sheet gives no guaranteed time. TimberIN’s manual uses a broad 2–3 hours in warmer weather and 4–6 hours in cold weather, with roughly 8°C per hour for a 2,000-litre example under stated use. External Comfort holds 1,400 or 1,550 litres, but long or poorly insulated connections, wind and a missing cover increase loss. Keep pipe runs as designed, use dry fuel, mix the water and reduce firing before the target temperature is reached.
Give the heater room to breathe and water room to circulate
Allow a firm base beneath both tub and stove, a short supported pipe route and safe access to the firebox. Follow the final drawing for connection heights and do not reduce pipe diameter or add restrictive valves casually. Keep the chimney clear of eaves, covers and planting. If hybrid support is chosen, arrange compliant electrical work to the supplied equipment data. Choose 180 or 200 cm based on regular occupancy and water volume, then confirm delivery access, drainage and a winter routine before the surrounding terrace is finished.
Before production: TimberIN products are individually made, so published measurements are approximate. Confirm the selected live variation, final dimensions, included equipment, service requirements, delivery method and any critical tolerances in the accepted written quotation. Everything is fine! Delivery was perfect and the driver helped us install the tub in the target place.
The product as such is also great. We had the opportunity to use it the first time yesterday. The only issue is to keep water temperature on the desired level – we made it too high :-).
All the best in New Year,
We have, indeed, installed our spa… and we absolutely love it. The build quality and standard of materials are even better than we had hoped. The fact that we could order the spa without pumps or air jets was also fantastic; this way we can simply sit in lovely warm water and enjoy the peaceful Scottish Highlands with as little background noise as possible.
Thank you and all of your staff for making such a good quality product,
Alan
Dear Albert
Thank you so much for our hot tub. We absolutely love it. It is really high quality and we are delighted. It was worth the wait and your amazing team kept us up-to-date all the way along so we were not worried by the delays. It was a little nerve wracking sending money across to Europe but lots of your other customers had written on their reviews that it all worked out well and and we too were very happy in the end. We just had to pay import VAT into the UK because of Brexit but again we were expecting that. Here are some photographs. Thank you again to you and your team for everything
Tania
Hello Evelina,
Here are some pictures of our hot tub. We are very pleased with its performance, the wood -burner heats the water quickly and the electric heater maintains the temperature over an extended period if required . This was the only wooden tub we could find with insulation and we’re impressed that it holds its temperature well when both heaters are off. Throughout the process of ordering and delivery we were kept informed promptly with help and information.
We are happy for you to use the photos and the above statement for your customers. We’ve added a small modification as you will see from the photo of lid. The rim of the lid was scratching the edge of the tub so we slit some alkathene pipe of the same colour and attached it, with good results. We’ve also attached two stainless steel wires to stabilise the high chimney and protect it from strong winds.
Regards, Fran and David
Please find attached photos of out new hot tub. We have put the wood burner inside our garden room with the pipes going through the wall to the hot tub, so it heats the room and the hot tub.
So far very pleased with it- the man who delivered it was excellent and very helpful
Dear Albert and Timberin Team, I hope you’re well. I send some photos of the SPA. The installation was delayed because the technician must be out for a few weeks. We wanted to put grass around and so we had to wait for the laying and the grass to consolidate. At this moment we only need to connect the Blue Lagoon system. Meanwhile I and my daughters have already tried and we loved! Congratulations and I will recommend you to everyone I know here! Best regards, Luis
Longer delivery time because of covid19 but it was worth waiting for this high quality hottub. Enjoy!
Hello Albertas
Yes we have used the spa with the wood burner thank you, and it’s lovely. I thought photos of it with lights and bubbles in action would be best. However, here is the first photo taken by my husband… showing mostly the view rather than the tub.
More to follow…
