Product Description
Electric heating for a compatible hot tub
This system heats a compatible hot tub without tending a wood fire. It can be planned as the main heater or as supplementary heating where the hydraulic arrangement and electrical supply have been checked. The UK page currently has one purchasable power option: 6 kW.
The package includes the heater, a water pump and the necessary pipes for the supplied assembly. UK delivery is included. The customer must arrange on-site electrical installation by a qualified electrician.
Choose the output for the actual installation
| Purchasable UK option | Documented reference | Price basis |
|---|---|---|
| 6 kW | Pahlén Aqua Compact AC60, article 141601 | The current UK price and selected configuration shown on this page |
Water volume, starting temperature, insulation, cover, climate, frequency of use and the available electrical supply must guide the choice of a heater. These factors also explain why a single heating time cannot be promised.
Confirmed technical reference for the 6 kW version
The documented 6 kW unit is the Pahlén Aqua Compact AC60, article 141601. It has a glass-fibre-reinforced thermoplastic body and a standard Incoloy 825 element. Its thermostat adjusts from 0 to 45°C, and the unit includes a flow switch and overheat protection.
| AC60 6 kW specification | Manufacturer value |
|---|---|
| Nominal output | 6 kW |
| Possible supply | 230 V single phase or 400 V three phase |
| Rated current | 26 A at 230 V single phase; 9 A at 400 V three phase |
| Minimum flow | 90 litres/minute |
| Maximum pressure | 2.5 bar |
| Water connection | Ø50 mm |
| Thermostat | 0–45°C |
| Overheat cut-out | 60°C maximum |
These electrical values apply specifically to the AC60 6 kW reference. Do not apply them to other heater versions. The rating plate of the unit delivered and the electrician’s installation design take precedence.
What is included and what must be arranged on site
The commercial package contains the heater, water pump and necessary pipes. The exact pump reference, output, dimensions and performance curve are not published here because the current package is not documented at that level.
On-site electrical work is not included. A qualified professional must assess the available supply and specify the cable, protective devices, isolation, earthing and other equipment needed for the actual unit. Complete this work before commissioning.
Hydraulic installation and operation
For the documented AC60, the manufacturer specifies horizontal installation, always filled with water, on the return after filtration. It must be at least 200 mm below the normal water level, with at least 200 mm of straight PVC pipe before and after the heater.
Never energise the heater without sufficient water flow. The control arrangement must prevent heating when the pump is not running. Dose water-treatment products after the heater in the direction of circulation. Protect the appliance from weather, direct splashing, sunlight and combustible materials.
Water treatment and winter protection
The standard Incoloy 825 version is not intended for salt water, salt electrolysis or aggressive water. Pahlén offers a separate titanium version for those conditions; do not assume it is included in this offer.
Where freezing is possible, the installation must allow the heater and affected pipework to be drained completely. Trapped water can damage the heater and connections. Maintained filtration and stable flow are also essential for the flow protection to work correctly.
Why choose this package?
This package suits a project requiring documented 6 kW electric heating, a supplied pump and connecting pipes, where the site can accommodate a suitable professionally installed electrical supply.
Confirm the heating requirement, water treatment, equipment space, hydraulic plan and electrical supply before ordering. Those checks are more useful than a general heating-speed claim and establish whether the package suits the actual tub.
Frequently asked questions
The selected configuration, final drawing and accepted order documents take precedence for the product supplied.
Which power can I purchase on the UK page?
The current purchasable UK variation is 6 kW. No other power level is currently available to select for purchase here.
What does the package include?
The 6 kW heater, a water pump and the necessary pipes. The exact pump reference, output and performance curve are not published for the current package.
Is delivery included?
Yes. The current UK shipping option is “UK included”.
Is electrical installation included?
No. Arrange a qualified electrician to assess the supply and specify the connection, cable, protection, isolation and earthing for the unit supplied.
What are the electrical details of the 6 kW version?
The documented Pahlén Aqua Compact AC60, article 141601, is rated at 26 A on 230 V single phase or 9 A on 400 V three phase. The rating plate and electrician’s design take precedence.
How long will it take to heat the water?
There is no reliable single time. Water volume, starting temperature, insulation, cover and weather affect the result.
Can I use salt treatment?
Not with the standard Incoloy 825 version. The manufacturer has a separate titanium version for salt, electrolysed or aggressive water. Confirm treatment compatibility before ordering.
What protection is needed against frost?
The heater and affected circuit must be capable of complete drainage when freezing is possible. Keep the installation accessible for connection checks and maintenance of correct circulation.
