A family hot tub without wood-fired heating
TimberIN Nordic Family™ Electric combines a round fibreglass shell with separately chosen exterior cladding. Start with the shell’s shape and size, then choose a 6 kW electric heater or a 5 kW Wi-Fi heat pump.
The current UK range has six configurations, combining three shells with these two heating choices. Older wood-fired or hybrid arrangements shown in some family documentation are not offered on this product page.

The classic shell has straight walls and benches. Its documented external height is 1,200 mm, with an internal height of 1,100 mm. The conical shell of the same nominal size keeps the 6–8-person capacity range with a smaller external diameter and less water. The larger conical model increases the interior space and stated capacity range.
These manufacturer figures are approximate because each tub is made individually. The stated capacity is not a guarantee of equal comfort for every group, particularly at the upper limit. Confirm any critical access, foundation or handling dimension on the final drawing. The 150 kg is the stated tub weight, excluding water, bathers and equipment.

For the 6 kW heater, the manufacturer’s sheet lists nominal connections of 220 V single-phase at 32 A or 380 V three-phase at 16 A. The rating plate and wiring diagram of the ordered unit take precedence. A qualified electrician must specify the cable, protection, earthing and final connection for the site.
The thermostat’s 0–45°C range describes the appliance; it is not a recommended bathing-temperature range.
No fixed heating time is stated for Family Electric. With approximately 1,400–1,750 litres, the result depends on starting water temperature, weather, cover, insulation and the chosen heater. Heat-pump performance is particularly sensitive to air temperature, so a time quoted for mild weather should not be applied to winter.
Shell, cladding, colours and covers
The inner shell is fibreglass. The UK exterior choices are Siberian spruce, Siberian larch, thermowood, black WPC or brown WPC. Six shell finishes are offered with colour references: blue, white, grey, blue pearl, grey pearl and granite.
Three cover arrangements are listed: a fibreglass lid, a wooden finishing edge with a wooden lid, or an insulated leather cover. The source confirms that the insulated leather cover is compatible with all models; final dimensions must match the shell ordered.
Wall and floor insulation are offered at no extra charge in the UK. Select and confirm both in your summary. The exact product documentation does not specify their material or thickness, so figures from another model are not applied here.
Filtration, massage, LEDs and Smart SPA
Choose the following comfort and water-care equipment separately:
- Water-jet hydromassage.
- Air-bubble massage.
- Sand filtration with a large wooden enclosure.
- Two or four LEDs; four are recommended in the configurator for 180–220 cm models.
- Smart SPA modules for air massage, hydromassage, sand filtration or scheduled ON/OFF control of the electric heater.
Each Smart SPA module needs Wi-Fi and the corresponding equipment. An air-massage control kit, for example, requires the air-massage system itself. Jet counts, filter flow and electrical requirements, lighting modes and detailed smart-home compatibility must be confirmed for the selected configuration.
No UV filter is currently listed among this product’s UK add-ons. A UV diagram in broader family documentation does not mean that UV is included or currently selectable here.
Confirm every item in the configurator
A wooden paddle and enclosure for the electric heater are listed as already included, and a bottom drain with stopper is offered as an included drain choice. The boxes are not automatically selected. Confirm all expected items in the final order summary and quotation.
Type A or C steps, cover, included insulation, SPA systems, colours, drain arrangement and delivery must also be checked in the same way.
Prepare the site and connections
Plan from the external diameter, then add the steps, cover-handling space, drain, service access and technical enclosure. The documented electric-heater enclosure is approximately 400 × 600 × 600 mm; filtration or a combined filtration/heating enclosure may require approximately 800 × 700 × 600 mm, depending on equipment.
The foundation must support the actual load with water, bathers and all equipment. The exact product documentation does not state a single operating load. Have the support, access and connections designed for the ordered configuration, using its final drawing.
Three drain arrangements are listed: a bottom drain with stopper, an external tap, or an external tap with a quick connector for a 12.5 or 15 mm garden hose.
Delivery and unloading
For both 1800 shells, the transport sheet gives an approximate main package of H 2,200 × W 1,300 × L 2,100 mm, plus an equipment package of H 900 × W 800 × L 1,000 mm. The larger conical model’s main package is approximately H 2,400 × W 1,300 × L 2,300 mm. Confirm the exact package envelope and assembly state before organising access and handling.
UK shipping retains a £198 green zone south of Leeds and a £429 yellow zone for the listed other areas. Delivery information specifies an 18 m / 40-tonne lorry, with a possible smaller 3.5-tonne vehicle in London. Confirm the delivery address, vehicle access, unloading arrangements and movement to the final base before ordering. The UK selector has no separate driver-unloading option; do not assume delivery includes final positioning.

Confirm UK unloading arrangements before delivery. The current UK configurator has no separate driver-unloading option. Movement from the unloading point to the final base must be planned separately.
Which maintenance instructions and warranty apply?
