Product Description
A smooth-lined tub with broad configuration freedom · Made-to-order outdoor hot tub
Polypropylene Hot Tub – TimberIN Nordic Flex™ (160–220 cm, Configurable): low-maintenance bathing from 1600 to 2200 mm
The practical interior is separated from the natural exterior
Polypropylene creates a continuous, non-porous bathing surface that is straightforward to wipe and does not need the same water-side timber care as a traditional all-wooden tub. Timber cladding retains the garden character and can be selected for appearance and weathering behaviour. The broad diameter range is useful, but it should not encourage automatic upsizing: larger shells carry more water and take more energy to heat. Heater choice is equally important, with internal systems protecting outside space and external systems preserving more room for bathers.
The full polypropylene size table
Nordic Flex has the broadest genuine configuration range in the hot-tub catalogue. Its non-porous polypropylene shell is available from 1,600 to 2,200 mm, and the technical sheet quantifies how rapidly water volume rises: the largest version holds roughly 1,600 litres more than the smallest. Closed polypropylene benches can reduce the published volume by around 25%, an important distinction for filled weight and heating rather than a minor furniture preference.
| 1,600 mm | 4–6 bathers; approximately 1,800 L; 1,920 mm top outside; approximately 200 kg |
|---|---|
| 1,800 mm | 6–8 bathers; approximately 2,280 L; 2,120 mm top outside; approximately 250 kg |
| 2,000 mm | 8–10 bathers; approximately 2,800 L; 2,320 mm top outside; approximately 280 kg |
| 2,200 mm | 10–12 bathers; approximately 3,400 L; 2,520 mm top outside; approximately 300 kg |
| External height | Approximately 1,040 mm all sizes; bottom insulation adds about 70 mm |
| Bench-volume effect | Closed polypropylene benches can reduce volume by approximately 25% |
| Electric choices | 6 kW default; 9/12 kW and 15/18 kW increases listed, subject to connection design |
| Integrated wood heater | 35 kW listed in the technical sheet |
Configure in this order: occupancy, benches, heater, then appearance
Start with the people who will normally bathe. Next decide whether reducing volume with closed benches is desirable or whether open access and timber character matter more. External wood heat protects seating but needs garden space; snorkel heat saves outside space and occupies the tub; integrated heat gives a neat outline and more coupled servicing. Electric-only is controllable but slow on a cold multi-thousand-litre fill; hybrid gives flexibility with more infrastructure. The no-heater option is for a separately engineered system, not an incomplete order. Only after these choices should cladding and liner colour lead the discussion.
| Decision | Choices currently selectable |

Heating ranges from manageable to substantial across the four sizes
A single time cannot cover 1,800–3,400 litres and heater outputs from 6 to 35 kW. TimberIN’s wood-fired manual gives broad 2–3 hour warm-season and 4–6 hour cold-season context, while a 6 kW electric heater on 2,280 litres adds only about 2.3°C per hour before losses. Closed benches, insulation and a cover reduce the load; wind and cold feed water increase it. Choose heater output from the confirmed volume and desired operating routine, then have the electrical or flue design approved before manufacture.
Use the flexibility to solve the site, not to collect options
Start with normal occupancy, the measured access route and the maximum footprint available after allowing for steps, heater and maintenance. Then select a heating routine: wood for a hands-on heat-up cycle, electric support for scheduled holding, or a hybrid approach where both services are practical. Plan filtration and water care around frequency of use, especially at rentals. The base must support the full water load, and pipework, controls and drain points should remain accessible rather than being permanently hidden by decking.

Questions about Polypropylene Hot Tub – TimberIN Nordic Flex™ (160–220 cm, Configurable)
What inner diameter choices are shown for Polypropylene Hot Tub – TimberIN Nordic Flex™ (160–220 cm, Configurable)?
Inner diameter choices currently shown are 1600 mm; 1800 mm; 2000 mm; 2200 mm. Availability and valid combinations are controlled by the live configurator and confirmed in the final written order.
Does the displayed price include every option for Polypropylene Hot Tub – TimberIN Nordic Flex™ (160–220 cm, Configurable)?
Not necessarily. The displayed amount follows the current base or selected configuration. Size, material, heater, equipment, delivery and installation choices can change the total; the basket, quotation or written order is the final commercial record.
What should be confirmed before delivery of Polypropylene Hot Tub – TimberIN Nordic Flex™ (160–220 cm, Configurable)?
Choose the normal occupancy and shell size first; nominal capacity is not a comfort guarantee for every body size. Select heater position and fuel after checking usable seating, firebox access, chimney route and any electrical supply. Confirm delivery access, a level load-bearing base, safe filling and drainage, and the intended winter operating routine. Final dimensions, included equipment and site responsibilities should be confirmed before production or dispatch.

Dear TimberIN Team,
Many thanks to the whole team at TimberIN. We are really pleased with our wood burning hot tub. The delivery was on time and efficient, although I would stress to people taking delivery to ensure you have lots of friends to help move it and/or equipment on hand if it needs to go over a fence. We were 9 people in the end who manoeuvred the hot tub into position through a very tight gate hole and it was no easy job.
We had the tub up and running within hours and have been surprised how often we’re using it even after the initial honeymoon period.
The quality and craftsmanship are great and unlike other more conventional ‘plastic’ hot tubs we saw it really does look great. So far all members and ages of the family have enjoyed it, from our nephews splashing around over Christmas, to Grandma relaxing under the stars with a drink on hand in the ‘bar’.
We’re looking forward to many years of fun use to come!
Tom and Family
