Product Description
A genuine two-person bathing space · Made-to-order outdoor hot tub
2 Person Wood Fired Hot Tub – TimberIN Nordic Duo: compact proportions without a cut-down specification
Small enough to place carefully, substantial enough to use properly
The defining quality of this model is not simply that it is small; its proportions are organised around two adults rather than a reduced version of a large communal tub. That makes it particularly relevant beside a sauna, on a modest terrace or in a private corner of the garden. The external-heater route keeps the fire and firebox outside the bathing space, while electric and hybrid choices support a different ownership rhythm. Timber selection changes the appearance and maintenance character, so it deserves the same attention as the heating method.
Ofuro proportions, confirmed in numbers
Nordic Duo is an oval Ofuro rather than a small round family tub. Its long, narrow plan gives two people proper legroom while keeping the stated water charge to about 1,000 litres. The drawing is unusually useful for a compact site because it distinguishes the 920 mm inner height from the 1,060 mm outer height and identifies the space required by covers and equipment boxes.
| Normal occupancy | 1–2 bathers |
|---|---|
| Water capacity | Approximately 1,000 litres |
| Tub footprint | Approximately 1,900 × 1,190 mm |
| Height | 920 mm inner; 1,060 mm outer |
| Dry weight | Approximately 80 kg before heater and spa equipment |
| Electric option | 6 kW; thermostat 0–45°C; 230 V 32 A single-phase or 400 V 16 A three-phase stated in the sheet |
| Cover data | Wooden lid 1,200 × 1,910 mm, approximately 30 kg; fibreglass lid approximately 15 kg |
Choose the heat source before deciding where the oval will sit
The external wood stove keeps the entire oval free for the two bathers and suits an off-grid, fire-led routine, but it extends the installation beyond the nominal footprint and needs a safe chimney and fuel approach. The 6 kW electric route is cleaner and thermostatically controlled, although 1,000 litres still represent a meaningful electrical heat-up and require a dedicated supply. The hybrid combines both routines but adds the cost and service points of two systems. Spruce is the straightforward traditional choice; Thermowood, larch and oak change appearance, weathering and budget rather than the internal capacity.
| Decision | Choices currently selectable |

| Woodtype | Larch · Oak · Spruce · Thermo Wood |
| Stoves | Electric heater 6KW · External wood stove · Hybrid system |
What to expect from heating 1,000 litres
No fixed heat-up time is promised for this exact configuration. TimberIN’s general operating manual uses roughly 8°C per hour for a well-fired 2,000-litre example and gives a broad 2–3 hour warm-season or 4–6 hour cold-season range. Nordic Duo holds about half that water, but heater choice, starting temperature, wind, dry fuel, insulation and cover use still dominate the result. Treat the manual figures as planning context, not a guarantee, and never fire a water heater unless its required water level and circulation path are established.
Plan the heater and the garden position as one decision
Begin with the available space around the tub, not only the tub diameter. A wood-fired configuration needs safe access to the firebox and a clear chimney route; an electric or hybrid build needs a suitable supply installed to the confirmed equipment requirements. The base must carry the filled tub and its occupants without settlement, and there should be a controlled way to fill and drain it. For year-round use, decide in advance whether the system will remain heated and circulated or be fully drained during freezing weather.

Hi
Just to say that I am delighted with my hot tub. We have used it most evenings and it has become the highlight of the day.
If there is one thing I can say about TimberIN, it is thanks for the outstanding service. The whole experience from ordering to delivery went down without problems!
The hot tub we ordered is just for two, but it suits the area that we had to install it in, and it is definitely fun for two, and it looks great in respect of the major deck replacement we had to do prior to delivery.
Yes, there might be some concerns about ordering big ticket items from Eastern Europe, but we had none with the TimberIN team, the workmanship is quality and we only had one minor problem in powering up the tub, due to me being in a hurry.
I highly recommend that before you order. Please consult a qualified electrician regarding the amperage rating of your house mains power panel. We had to change the tub water heater to a lower Kilowatt rating due to the Max rating of 16 amps of our mains panel.
In closing, and in speaking as a retired Medical systems Engineer. You can’t go wrong with TimberIN!
Thanks to you Albert and the the team!
Very good service and very good product. Delivered at the agreed time and looks wonderful in my woods.
