Product Description
Natural timber for two people · Made-to-order outdoor hot tub
TimberIN Nordic Duo™ Wood: a compact wooden tub for hot soaking or cold immersion
The bathing material is part of the experience
Unlike a timber-clad tub with a moulded liner, this model places bathers directly within the wooden vessel. The staves form the watertight structure, giving the water a visibly natural setting and making material behaviour central to ownership. A no-heater build works as a compact plunge or as the basis of a separately designed system. With the external stove, the interior remains free for two people while the firebox, chimney and connecting pipework sit beside the tub. Spruce offers a classic pale appearance; Thermowood changes tone and weathering character.
An all-wooden Ofuro for one or two people
Nordic Duo Wood shares the efficient oval logic of the lined Duo but keeps timber in direct contact with the bathing water. The drawing records a 1–2-person, approximately 1,000-litre vessel with an 80–100 kg dry weight and a footprint close to 1,900 × 1,190 mm. That natural construction brings the tactile character buyers seek, together with the responsibility to keep staves correctly hydrated, clean and maintained according to the supplied timber guidance.

Spruce, Thermowood and the reason a no-heater option exists
Spruce gives the palest, most traditional expression and the lowest material threshold; Thermowood is darker and more dimensionally stable but still needs exterior care. The external stove is the complete wood-fired choice and keeps both seats clear, at the expense of extra garden footprint and connecting pipework. The no-heater option is appropriate only for a separately specified heat source or a cold-plunge project. It should never be treated as an almost-finished hot tub that can be improvised after delivery.

Small water volume helps, but wood and weather still decide the session
The linked sheet does not guarantee an exact heat-up. TimberIN’s broader manual describes 2–3 hours in warmer weather and 4–6 hours in cold weather for typical wood-fired use, with an illustrative 8°C-per-hour rate at 2,000 litres. Duo Wood holds about 1,000 litres, but timber condition, external-pipe losses, dry fuel, wind and cover use all matter. Keep the stove full of water through its upper connection before lighting and allow it to cool completely before draining.
Understand how a solid-wood tub settles into service
A wooden vessel may need the commissioning procedure described in its instructions before the staves reach their normal wet condition. Do not apply unapproved sealants or aggressive chemicals in an attempt to change that process. Provide a level, continuously supported base and keep the lower timber clear of trapped moisture and standing water. For a heated build, allow a short, approved circulation route to the external stove and safe access around the firebox. Plan draining and seasonal care so the tub is neither left to freeze nor repeatedly neglected while empty.

Hi,
We have managed to install our hot tub, and this weekend was our first use!
The hot tub is exactly what we wanted, looks fab, heated quickly and stayed warm for ages!
Hi Albertas,
Apologies for not getting photos back to you sooner, it’s the start of the season here and we have had visitors the last couple of weeks. We have had the hot tub up and running for about four weeks now and are very pleased, the heater works really well. We found assemble reasonably straightforward, I would say the hardest bit is the last board. I was pleased that the boards were already drilled for the fittings. I think if you provided a a short video of key points of the assembly it would be helpful.
Kind regards,
Andy
