TimberIN Nordic Nomad™ Mobile Barrel Sauna

From: £4,106

TimberIN Nordic Nomad™ Mobile Barrel Sauna. Nordic Nomad is a trailer-mounted barrel sauna offered in lengths from 2000 to 5000 mm with spruce or Thermowood exterior choices. The curved room delivers the familiar barrel atmosphere while supporting mobile rental, events or hospitality use. Longer versions provide more bench or changing space, but they also affect total mass, trailer and axle selection, turning room and heater demand. Road use must be confirmed from the final supplied build and trailer documentation. Nordic Nomad is the round-barrel mobile range in 2,000–5,000 mm lengths and spruce or Thermowood. Braked single-axle (up to 1,800 kg, not recommended at 5 m) and double-axle (up to 2,000 kg) choices sit alongside M3/M3 SL/20 Pro/20 SL wood heat, 9/11 kW electric heat, dressing room/canopy, panoramic glazing, lighting, guard, roof colour and fixed stairs. Final plated mass, dimensions and towing compliance must be documented.

Product Description

The classic barrel sauna adapted for the road · Trailer-based outdoor sauna

TimberIN Nordic Nomad™ Mobile Barrel Sauna: mobile rental and hospitality space from two to five metres

A recognisable sauna experience made operationally mobile

The barrel form creates an efficient curved hot room and a strong visual identity at an event or accommodation site. On a trailer, that shell must also tolerate transport and remain balanced within the completed vehicle specification. The shortest layouts prioritise manoeuvrability and rapid heating; longer rooms can accommodate more guests or functional separation, though they place greater demands on towing and positioning. Spruce creates a lighter traditional finish, while Thermowood gives a darker exterior; either choice needs inspection and care after exposure to road spray and repeated outdoor setups.

The familiar barrel room placed on a transport chassis

Nomad uses the standard barrel family’s efficient round shell and length progression, then turns it into a relocatable unit. The fixed barrel sheet gives planning context from approximately 800 kg at 2 metres to 1,700 kg at 5 metres, with a 2,200 mm diameter. A mobile build adds trailer, drawbar, steps, secured chimney components and road equipment. The family figures are not a licence to tow; completed plated mass and axle loads remain specific to the chosen order.

Live lengths 2,000–5,000 mm in 500 mm steps
Barrel diameter context Approximately 2,200 mm outside; verify the road-going build
Occupancy context Approximately 2–4 people at 2 m to 8–10 at 5 m before rooms/canopy
Fixed-family weight context Approximately 800–1,700 kg before mobile certification
Single axle Braked, stated up to 1,800 kg; not recommended for 5 m
Double axle Braked, stated up to 2,000 kg
Wood heat M3/M3 SL for smaller rooms; 20 Pro/20 SL for larger rooms
Electric heat 9 kW for smaller rooms; 11 kW option for larger room where specified

Nomad length must fit both the guest plan and the weight certificate

The 2–3 metre Nomad is the agile private or small-hire choice. Longer bodies offer more bench length or a changing space, but every partition or canopy comes from the total stated length. A double axle is the sensible route as mass grows; a single axle belongs only where the completed build is demonstrably within limits. Inside-loaded wood heaters preserve simplicity; SL keeps fuel outside. Electric heat avoids a travel chimney routine but requires suitable power at every operating location.

Mobile comfort versus road-going complexity

A dressing room improves commercial use and gives guests a dry threshold; it adds partitions and mass. Panoramic glass makes the experience marketable while losing more heat and requiring protection in travel. Under-bench LEDs and entrance lamps need a reliable shore supply. A heater fence and secured stairs are practical safety equipment. Every roof, flue, stone and loose accessory needs a stowage/inspection procedure. Do not infer payload from the trailer rating; insist on actual empty mass and allowable load.

What the current configurator identifies as included

Basic parts: (1) 2 small windows in the rear wall; (2) Benches as in pictures; (3) Entrance door with a small window; (4) Ventilation · Trailer with the double axle with brakes (total weight up to 2000 kg) · Trailer with a single axle with brakes (total weight up to 1800 kg, not recommended for 5 m saunas) · Stairs for sauna with a special fixing

Included equipment is valuable because it establishes a usable baseline. Displayed builds may contain additional systems, so the accepted quotation should repeat every included item.

Wood burning Harvia heaters

  • Recommended for 2 – 4 meter sauna room: Harvia M3 + chimney (already included)
  • Recommended for 2 – 4 meter sauna room: Harvia M3 SL + chimney (logs loaded from outside instead of inside)
  • Recommended for 4 – 5 meter sauna room: Harvia 20 PRO + chimney
  • Recommended for 4 – 5 meter sauna room: Harvia 20 SL + chimney (logs loaded from outside instead of inside)
  • Need different wood burning stove? Contact us!

Advantages: Harvia wood-burning heaters provide the traditional fire-and-stone sauna experience. M3 suits the smaller listed rooms, while 20 PRO serves the larger range; SL versions move log loading outside, keeping bark and ash out of the hot room.

Electric Harvia heaters

  • Recommended for 2 – 3 meter sauna room: Cilindro 9 kW (PC90) with an integrated control unit (already included)
  • Recommended for 4 meter sauna room: Cilindro 11 kW (PC110XE) including a separate control unit
  • Need different electric stove? Contact us!

Advantages: A Cilindro electric heater offers repeatable thermostat control, no indoor fuel storage and a straightforward start-up routine. The listed 9 or 11 kW choices allow output to follow the actual heated sauna-room volume.

Configuration

  • Dressing room 1 m (included in total sauna`s length)
  • Dressing room 1.5 m (included in total sauna`s length)
  • Glass door between sauna and dressing rooms
  • Canopy – terrace with side benches 1 m (included in total sauna`s length)
  • Panoramic window (glass area 50%)
  • Panoramic window (glass area 100%)
  • Custom configuration needed? Please send us your sketch

Advantages: A dressing room creates a dry transition area, a canopy provides shelter outside, and side-entry or U-bench layouts can make the sauna work with a particular view and garden approach.

Accessories

  • Electric installation. Few LED lights under the benches
  • 2 Harvia lamps above the entrance door (both sides)
  • Wooden fence in front of heater

Advantages: Heat-rated LED or Harvia lighting improves safe use after dark, a correctly matched water tank can provide warm water with a wood heater, and a timber heater fence creates a clear physical boundary around hot surfaces.

Roof color

  • Black tiles
  • Brown tiles
  • Green tiles

Advantages: Roof colour lets the sauna sit deliberately within the garden scheme without changing the room plan or bathing experience.

A Nomad operator should publish measured, conservative warm-up

Room length, partitions, glazing, insulation, heater and cold-soaked outdoor storage all affect warm-up. The standard sheet recommends heater families but not one time. Commission the exact vehicle at realistic winter temperatures, record time to stable bench-level heat and include safe chimney assembly in setup. A shorter insulated room generally produces the most dependable turnaround; an oversized heater is not a substitute for correct volume matching.

Write the operating routine before taking the first booking

Use the final documents to confirm tow vehicle, licence, insurance, coupling, axle loads, registration and permitted dimensions. Survey intended routes for width, height, gradients and turning room. At each pitch, stabilise the trailer on firm level ground, create safe steps and guest circulation, and deploy the chimney or electrical connection exactly as specified. Ventilation, heater clearances and firebox control remain essential in a mobile setting. Record cleaning, inspection, cool-down and departure checks so repeated movement does not gradually undermine safety.

Before production: TimberIN products are individually made, so published measurements are approximate. Confirm the selected live variation, final dimensions, included equipment, service requirements, delivery method and any critical tolerances in the accepted written quotation. Photographs may show optional equipment.
