TimberIN Nordic Pod™ Porch

From: £5,957 From: £5,006

TimberIN Nordic Pod™ Porch. Nordic Pod Porch is offered in two clearly different layouts. Model 1 combines a 2000 mm sauna room with a 500 mm covered porch; Model 2 uses a 2500 mm sauna, a 1000 mm dressing room and the same 500 mm canopy. The porch creates shelter at the entrance, while the longer model provides an indoor transition between garden and heat. Select the layout by function, then confirm timber, heater, foundation and delivery for that exact plan. Pod Porch has two fixed plans: Model 1 is a 2,000 mm sauna plus 500 mm canopy (about 2–4 people and 1,000 kg); Model 2 is a 2,500 mm sauna, 1,000 mm glass-door dressing room and 500 mm canopy in a 4,000 mm body (about 6–8 and 1,400 kg). Spruce/Thermowood, wood or 9 kW electric heat, insulation, panoramic windows, roof colour and assembled/flat-pack delivery are live; bench LEDs and entrance lamps are included.

Product Description

A pod sauna with a genuinely usable covered threshold · Made-to-order outdoor sauna

TimberIN Nordic Pod™ Porch: choose a compact canopy or a full sauna-and-dressing layout

The extra length has a purpose in every version

Model 1 keeps the building compact and uses its 500 mm canopy as a protected place to open the door, pause or keep the immediate threshold drier. Model 2 is a substantially different product: its 2500 mm hot room increases usable sauna space, while the 1000 mm dressing room provides separation for robes, footwear and cooling. The pod roof unifies both layouts visually. Because only the sauna room is heated to bathing temperature, internal partitions and heater sizing should follow the chosen plan rather than the complete external length.

Two Porch plans with no ambiguous room arithmetic

Nordic Pod Porch simplifies the normal custom-Pod decisions into two plans. Model 1 combines a 2-metre sauna room with a 500 mm open canopy for an overall 2.5-metre body. Model 2 provides a 2.5-metre sauna, 1-metre dressing room and 500 mm canopy in a 4-metre body. The linked two-model sheet gives approximately 2–4 people/1,000 kg for Model 1 and 6–8/1,400 kg for Model 2, with a common 2,350 mm width and 2,500 mm body height.

Model 1 2,000 mm sauna + 500 mm canopy; 2,500 mm overall; 2–4 people; approximately 1,000 kg
Model 2 2,500 mm sauna + 1,000 mm dressing room + 500 mm canopy; 4,000 mm overall; 6–8 people; approximately 1,400 kg
Width and body height Approximately 2,350 mm wide; 2,500 mm high without chimney
Bench width reference Approximately 500 mm
Live timbers Spruce or Thermowood
Included lighting LEDs under sauna benches and two Harvia entrance lamps
Wood heat M3/M3 SL live; larger stove labels also present but final room match controls
Electric heat Cilindro 9 kW live; final cubic-volume check required

Model 1 for a focused sauna; Model 2 for a complete arrival sequence

Model 1 is best where the sauna itself matters and the canopy is enough transition. It is lighter, shorter and simpler to deliver. Model 2 earns its length by providing a genuine changing room behind glass and a larger stated group capacity. The 2.5-metre hot room must still be checked against the selected heater and glazing. Spruce keeps the classic light finish; Thermowood darkens the exterior. M3 gives inside-loaded wood heat, M3 SL external loading, and 9 kW Cilindro a clean electrical routine.

Decision Choices currently selectable
Design #Model 1: 2000 mm (sauna room) + 500 mm (canopy with side benches) · #Model 2: 2500 mm (sauna room) + 1000 mm (dressing room with glass doors) + 500 mm (canopy with side benches)
Woodtype Spruce · Thermo Wood

The included lighting lets the buyer focus on heat, glass and insulation

Under-bench and entrance lighting are already listed, so there is no need to add them twice. Insulation is the main winter-performance option and is technically strongest in a factory build. Panoramic glass improves outlook but increases losses and privacy needs; two small windows are more restrained. Roof colour is aesthetic. Pre-assembly preserves the multi-room alignment and needs lifting; flat pack can solve access, but Model 2’s glass dressing room makes experienced assembly and dry weather particularly important.

What the current configurator identifies as included

Already included: (1) Benches as in pictures; (2) Entrance wooden door with a small window; (3) Ventilation; (4) LED under the benches in the sauna room; (5) 2 Harvia lamps above the entrance door from both sides

Included equipment is valuable because it establishes a usable baseline. Displayed builds may contain additional systems, so the accepted quotation should repeat every included item.

Wood burning Harvia heaters

  • Recommended for 2 – 4 meter sauna room: Harvia M3 + chimney (already included)
  • Recommended for 2 – 4 meter sauna room: Harvia M3 SL + chimney (logs loaded from outside instead of inside)
  • Recommended for 4 – 5 meter sauna room: Harvia 20 PRO + chimney
  • Recommended for 4 – 5 meter sauna room: Harvia 20 SL + chimney (logs loaded from outside instead of inside)
  • Need different wood burning stove? Contact us!

Advantages: Harvia wood-burning heaters provide the traditional fire-and-stone sauna experience. M3 suits the smaller listed rooms, while 20 PRO serves the larger range; SL versions move log loading outside, keeping bark and ash out of the hot room.

Electric Harvia heaters

  • Recommended for 2 – 3 meter sauna room: Cilindro 9 kW (PC90) with an integrated control unit (already included)
  • Recommended for 4 meter sauna room: Cilindro 11 kW (PC110XE) including a separate control unit
  • Need different electric stove? Contact us!

Advantages: A Cilindro electric heater offers repeatable thermostat control, no indoor fuel storage and a straightforward start-up routine. The listed 9 or 11 kW choices allow output to follow the actual heated sauna-room volume.

Thermal insulation

  • For sauna 2 – 3 m. of length: complete insulation + decorative wood panelling (due to technical reasons, recommended for factory assembled saunas)
  • For sauna 4 – 5 m. of length: complete insulation + decorative wood panelling (due to technical reasons, recommended for factory assembled saunas)
  • Without insulation

Advantages: Insulating the sauna envelope reduces heat loss, improves winter recovery and makes temperature more stable between the heater and benches; decorative internal panelling also protects the insulated build-up.

Window type

  • 2 small windows
  • Panoramic window (glass area 50%)
  • Panoramic window (glass area 80%)
  • Panoramic window (glass area 100%)

Advantages: More glazing opens the hot room to the landscape, brings daylight to the benches and makes a compact sauna feel less enclosed.

Roof colour

  • Black tiles
  • Brown tiles
  • Green tiles

Advantages: Roof colour lets the sauna sit deliberately within the garden scheme without changing the room plan or bathing experience.

Model 2 is not a four-metre heated room

Only the 2.5-metre sauna section of Model 2 should be used for heater volume; the dressing room and canopy are outside the hot-room calculation. Model 1 heats an approximately 2-metre room. The technical sheet recommends heater families but does not promise minutes. Insulation, glass, outdoor temperature and stone mass determine the real routine. Commission with correct ventilation and make the first winter result the basis for scheduling.

Decide whether shelter alone is enough

Choose Model 1 where garden space is limited and users can change elsewhere. Choose Model 2 when the sauna must operate more independently in cold or wet weather, or when guest turnover benefits from an internal buffer. Set out the complete footprint, including porch steps and door swings, and provide a level drained base beneath all sections. Confirm delivery access, glazing orientation, ventilation and the heater’s electrical or chimney route. Keep the canopy and dressing-room thresholds clear of water carried from a nearby plunge or hot tub.

Before production: TimberIN products are individually made, so published measurements are approximate. Confirm the selected live variation, final dimensions, included equipment, service requirements, delivery method and any critical tolerances in the accepted written quotation. Photographs may show optional equipment.

Sauna is up and cooking! It is top quality design built with quality material. Production took a little bit long - 3 months - apparently because of Xmas in the mix. I bought it as a kit and it was nicely packaged and swiftly delivered by one these light Polish or Romanian trucks. Building instructions were basically OK. Some pieces like the floor board and walls are very heavy ( 100’s kg) and require several people and/or smart equipment to manipulate. Result is great!.

Hello, Absolutely stunning. Build quality is excellent: sturdy and lovely finish inside and out. The insulation is impressively effective- which filters out sound as well as keeping in the heat. All in all, this has exceeded all of my expectations, absolutely love it!

Hi Albertas, The spa is in its final location - but won’t be installed for another month! There is more work to do on the landscaping… But everything looks great so far! Kevin
