Product Description
A fixed architectural room for established garden plans · Made-to-order outdoor sauna
TimberIN Nordic Horizon™: a 4000 × 2440 × 2610 mm sauna with a confident modern presence
A resolved volume designed to anchor the garden
Horizon’s proportions give it the presence of a small piece of architecture, with enough length and width to create a composed interior rather than a minimal hot box. Because the outer dimensions are defined, buyers can evaluate the real relationship to a house, boundary and terrace before choosing finish. Spruce keeps the exterior lighter and more traditional; Thermowood produces a deeper tone and a different ageing character. Glazing and door orientation determine how the room engages with the site, while the interior layout and heater complete the experience.
One architectural shell, three different kinds of heat
Horizon fixes its outside envelope at four metres long, 2.44 metres wide and 2.61 metres high, then offers traditional wood, electric stone heat or infrared. Those are not equivalent experiences. M3 and Cilindro heat the room and stones for conventional sauna bathing; Vitamy panels deliver more direct radiant warmth at lower individual output. The page has no linked detailed drawing, so the room plan and the intended relationship between these systems belong in the written specification.

Choose the bathing experience before choosing the heater label
M3 is for buyers who want logs, firelight and traditional steam with chimney work and ash maintenance. Cilindro is the clean, controllable traditional-sauna route, requiring a 9 kW supply and stone care. Infrared warms bodies and surfaces directly and can feel ready sooner, but it is not the same high-temperature, water-on-stones experience. Ask whether the three panels replace or supplement a conventional heater. Spruce versus Thermowood affects the exterior finish and maintenance, not the fundamental choice between convective/stone and radiant heat.

Infrared and traditional sauna times should not be mixed
The page states no warm-up. Infrared can provide perceptible radiant warmth before the whole room reaches a traditional sauna temperature, while M3 and Cilindro must heat air, timber and stones. Their timings are therefore not directly comparable. Ask for internal cubic metres, insulation and glass area, then use the selected Harvia manual. The final product page should communicate the chosen mode honestly instead of promising one generic “ready in” time.
Site the full building before choosing the finishing view
Mark the 4000 × 2440 mm footprint on the ground and add the practical zones for door swing, steps, heater service and exterior maintenance. Check boundaries, local siting rules and the effect on paths and drainage. The base must remain level across the full structure, with water directed away from the lower timber. Confirm crane or vehicle access and any overhead restrictions. Heater output, electrical or chimney route, ventilation and safety clearances should all be coordinated to the final internal layout before production approval.
Before production: TimberIN products are individually made, so published measurements are approximate. Confirm the selected live variation, final dimensions, included equipment, service requirements, delivery method and any critical tolerances in the accepted written quotation.
